Two important updates regarding leadership within the Lake of the Woods Association. General Manager Phil Rodenberg will be departing LOWA to pursue new career opportunities. His last day with the Association will be May 2, 2025. Board Director Vassa Olson has resigned from the LOWA Board, effective April 3, 2025. 

LOWA Board Director Vassa Olson resigned from LOWA Board on Wednesday, April 2. The Board will determine the next steps on how and when they will replace the vacancy.

Wilderness Water Treatment Plant Water Advisory Incident: Office of Drinking Water Report

The Board of Directors award the contract for the Patrick Henry Court Drainage Improvement Project on August 21, 2024 during the Regular Board of Directors Meeting. 
 

The Board adopts a resolution authorizing use of the Repair and Replacement Reserve Fund Balance for the Main Gate Traffic Congestion Relief Project funding over three fiscal years and awarded the Main Gate Traffic Congestion Improvement Project construction contract to BZ Excavating, Inc. of Locust Grove, Virginia.

The Keatons Lake Swim Advisory is LIFTED. We can return to normal Keatons Lake activities. 

The Revised Protocol identifies policy for the coming 2024 season including
modifications based on the lessons learned in 2023. 

Due to temperatures expected to be in excess of 90 degrees in the afternoons over the next couple of weeks, we plan to move bar code registration and application hours at Member Services to the morning hours (9:00am to 12:00pm) until further notice.

Keatons Lake Treated for Harmful Algal Bloom Tuesday, July 2, 2024. 

Keatons Lake- aka The Little Lake,  is experiencing a Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB). 
People and pets should refrain from swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding or any other activity with a risk of ingesting water.
