Environmental Resources:
Environmental Resources Director: Full-Time. Direct and manage the Environmental Resources Department while ensuring the ecological balance, safety, and regulatory compliance of the two lakes, dams, and other environmental areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: lake science, dam safety, dredge operations, marinas and docks, lake usage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and emergency action planning. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in water resource management, with knowledge of Virginia’s environmental and dam safety regulations.
Erosion and Sediment Inspector: Full-Time. Conduct inspection of land disturbing activities, inspect and approve location of new driveway entrance and culvert size for new construction. Review site plan and recommend approval/disapproval of the re-location of Drainage Easements. Monitor surrounding properties to LOWA for potential erosion and sediment concerns. Develop, implement, and evaluate the storm water management program. The ideal candidate will be a certified Virginia State Erosion and Sediment Inspector.
Water Quality Intern: Part-Time. Perform regular water quality testing and sampling. Document and archive historical water quality data. Assist with public education and outreach activities related to lake health and safety. Work with manager to maintain and update the Dam Emergency Action Plans for the two lakes. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled or recently graduated from a 4-year college degree program in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Fitness Center:
Fitness Center Specialist: Part-Time. Greet all Fitness Center members, perform walkthrough and inspections of Fitness Center equipment. Enforce all Fitness Center policies. Demonstrate proper use of the equipment to members as needed. Qualified applicants should have a personal trainer certification and prior employment experience in a fitness center/gym-like environment.
Grounds:
Laborer, Full-Time. Preserve and maintain the natural beauty of LOW common property. Perform general landscaping maintenance tasks utilizing equipment and machinery. Perform mowing, edging, weed control, and leaf blowing duties. Ensure LOW common areas are free of trash and well-maintained. Must be 21 years or older to operate LOWA vehicles.
Clubhouse Pool:
Snackbar Attendants, Seasonal/Part-Time. Serve food and drinks at the Clubhouse Pool and beach area during pool season. Greet members and provide excellent customer service. Prepare food and beverage orders and process all sales. Organize snack bar inventory and ensure proper stocking of all food and beverage items. The Clubhouse pool is typically in operation from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Please submit resumes to the email contact listed below.
