Community Activities

Community Operations Specialist: This specialized support role in our Community Operations Department is perfect for a tech-savvy, hardworking, and personable individual. The position requires 20 hours per week, with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday availability. The ideal candidate will assist with use and inventory management of audio/visual equipment, light manual labor (e.g., moving tables and chairs), and serve as a versatile support resource for the Communications Department. This position will require additional departmental administrative duties. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between multiple amenities are required. Employees must be 21 or older to operate LOWA vehicles. 


Grounds:

Groundskeeper: Full-Time. Preserve and maintain the natural beauty of LOW common property. Perform general landscaping maintenance tasks utilizing equipment and machinery. Perform mowing, edging, weed control, and leaf blowing duties. Ensure LOW common areas are free of trash and well-maintained. Must be 21 years or older to operate LOWA vehicles. Must have a valid VA driver’s license

Environmental Resources:

Heavy Machine Operator, Full-Time. Operate the amphibious excavator and perform dredging activities. Operate motorized barge. Operate truck with clam-shell attachment to unload mud from the barge.  Operate heavy dump truck and fuel all dredging equipment and vehicles. Must be 21 years or older to operate LOWA vehicles. Must have a valid VA driver's license.


Fareways

Lead Line Cook, Full-Time. Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Assist in maintaining food and beverage inventory levels and training new kitchen staff. Perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing as required. Act as kitchen specialist, training, mentoring, coaching other cooks.

Clubhouse 

Food Expeditors, Part-Time. Serve as a bridge between the kitchen and the dining area to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly. Manage individual orders as they are being prepared. Oversee preparation and delivery of food orders. Communicate with wait staff on accurate and timely deliver of every food order.

Hosts and Hostesses, Part-Time. Greet members and guests on arrival and manage their seating in a timely manner. Escort members and guests to their assigned dining or bar areas. Ensure patrons leave the Clubhouse with an excellent dining and social experience by thanking departing guests and inviting them back.

Clubhouse and Fareways

Dishwashers, Part-Time. Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes. Keep the dish area clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to manager. Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.

Servers, Part-Time. Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. Inform guests of specials and menu options. Enter orders in Point-of-Sale system.  Deliver food and beverage orders to guests in a timely manner. Prepare final bill and present check to guest. Must be 18 years of age or older.
