CLUBHOUSE.   Open Positions: (all openings are for Part Time employment)
  • Server applicants needed.  Successful candidates must have excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm and energy.  Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.  If you are 18 and older, have a positive, out-going personality and are a team player, this job is for you!  Some restaurant experience preferred.
  • Banquet Servers.  If you like working flexible hours with a great team, let us hear from you.  Must be over 18 years of age, personable with good communication skills and basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures.  Ability to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds essential. 
  • Bussers/Dishwashers.  Now hiring part time Bussers/Dishwashers age 16 and older and able to lift bags, cases and containers up to 30 pounds.  Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
  • Food Expeditors.  If you are a team player and looking for flexible hours working in a pleasant environment this job is for you!  Expos are needed to ensure food orders are served in a timely manner and the presentation looks fresh, appetizing and is properly prepared as ordered by our patrons. Must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift up to 30 pounds. 
 
FAREWAYS  - Open Positions:  (all openings are for Part Time employment)
  • Bartender will mix and serve beverages at the Sports Bar and Grill.  Applicants must be at least 21 years old, willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.  Job requires superb customer service skills. One-two years’ experience required.  
  • Line Cook needed to accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking. One year experience is preferred along with good communication skills, ability to work flexible hours and a team spirit.  
  • Servers needed to assist with CafĂ© operations. Candidates must be 18 years or older and able to work flexible hours including weekends. Some restaurant experience preferred.  Good communication skills and team spirit important.
FITNESS - Part Time Fitness Center Attendant.  Come join the team at the Fitness Center and assist the Manager in ensuring that members workout in a safe and welcoming environment.   Duties include:  open/close Fitness Center daily, greet and check in all guests, answer  inquiries, assist in keeping equipment clean and well maintained,  receive and process payments for services accurately and demonstrate commitment to fitness and personal wellness.  Excellent customer service and communication skills essential.  Must have ability to lift 50 lbs.  One year experience working in related environment highly desirable.  Must be 18 or older, have a valid driver’s license and pass a criminal background check.  EOE.     
GOLF PRO SHOPPart Time Pro Shop Attendant.  Applicants sought to fill to provide excellent customer service to LOWA golfers.  Positive, outgoing personality required.  Salesmanship and conversational golf  knowledge a plus. Must work a minimum of three days a week including weekends. 
 
MAINTENANCE -
Grounds Foreman (Salaried) –
Oversees maintenance of 200 acres of common areas including trash removal, beach care, building entrances and walkways, turf and plant management, park equipment, site furnishings, tree care/removal, dam maintenance, weed control and leaf removal programs. Min. HS diploma + 10 years exp in grounds maintenance industry.  Operational knowledge of equipment including backhoe, trencher, tractor, commercial mowers, etc. VA Chemical applications license with category attachments of 3A-ornamental control, 3B-turf pest control, 5A aquatic pest control-general and 6-right of way pest control.  Comprehensive knowledge of turf management, safety procedures, soils and amendments, insect/disease control, plant nutrition, pruning methods, grounds care chemicals and standard industry practices. Botany, landscape architecture and irrigation engineering experience.  Management experience required.

Full Time Groundskeeper position available.  The qualified applicant will be responsible for performing general landscaping maintenance tasks for routine and special events.  Must have experience in the operation of grounds care equipment.  Position requires heavy lifting and working in all weather conditions.  Applications received before June 15 will receive priority consideration
 
PRO SHOP/GOLF OPERATIONSFull Time Salaried PositionGolf Professional/Pro Shop Manager.  The ideal candidate reports to the AGM and will oversee golf operations by managing the daily operations and assist promoting LOWA’s golf amenity through marketing endeavors. The Pro/Manager will ensure efficient operation and coordination of the pro shop, cart service and all other Golf Operations services.  The primary focus of this position is to provide guest satisfaction, train and supervise golf staff, merchandising, golf instruction, and implementation and coordination of all golf programs. Fiscal responsibilities include managing operations by meeting revenue targets and controlling expenditures.  Attendance at Golf Committee meetings required along with interaction with other Managers and especially community members.  Successful candidate must have minimum 5 years management experience in golf and/or hospitality industry, must possess proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office suite, point of sale systems, handicap software and golf tournament management systems.  Must possess PGA Level A1 certification or higher or able to become certified within first year of employment.  Associates or college degree preferred. Position requires evening and weekend hours.  Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods and to work outdoor events in the heat or cold.  Budget experience necessary.
