UPDATE: Clubhouse and Sailboat Beach NO SWIM advisory HAS BEEN LIFTED as of noon 8/22/24.
Current testing has shown the threshold below allowable state levels. It is safe to swim and partake in water activities at those beaches. Main Lake and all Beaches are open to water activities. Keatons Lake and beaches are open to all water activities also.
8/20/2024: Clubhouse and Sailboat Beach is under a
NO SWIM advisory as of 8/20/2024 until further notice for people and pets due to elevated E. coli reported from routine testing.
Testing was conducted recently at Clubhouse Beach and results were reported today with levels which are over allowable state thresholds.
Members should avoid swimming, windsurfing, and stand-up paddle-boarding as well as any other activities that may pose a risk of ingesting water in this area until further notice.
Potential sources include environmental pollution from the following: Heavy Rain, Swimmers, and Canada Geese.
LOWA will continue to collect water samples for lab testing from Clubhouse Beach and will notify members when test results show E. coli levels below the state threshold.
