Recovering and Preparing: A Community Session on Stormwater

8/14/2025

Our community has faced recent storms and flash floods that have caused damage to both personal property and community amenities. In response, we invite all residents to join an educational session on understanding and managing stormwater—so, together, we can better protect our homes, our lakes, and our neighborhood.
Featuring:
Fred Ripley, E&S Inspector
Keegan Angerer, Environmental Resource Director
Date: Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025
Time: 10:00 to 11:00 AM
Location: Community Center
Topics include:
•      How stormwater impacts our community and steps we can all take to lessen the effects
•      The role of swales, berms, and drain tile systems in protecting property
•      Understanding your platted drainage easement
•      Erosion concerns and how to address them
This session is a chance to learn, ask questions, and prepare for future storms together. By understanding stormwater and how to manage it, we can help keep LOW strong, resilient, and beautiful. We hope to see you there!
