RSA Sewage Overflow  Advisory August 26, 2025:
Main Lake Lakefront Members located in the cove bordered by Edgemont Circle, Boxwood Trail, and Lakeview Pkwy block 2800-2900 are advised to avoid water activities for people and pets until further notice.

RSA was notified this afternoon of an overflow of less than 10 gallons at 102 Monroe St. A technician was immediately dispatched and observed that the spill had reached a nearby live stream, which could make its way to a cove at the Main  lake. The overflow was immediately stopped and LOWA was notified of the spill.

Customers in LOW should promptly report any issues with the sewer system to RSA by phone at (540) 972-2133. Technicians are on-call 24/7/365 and will respond immediately.

LOWA will collect water samples for lab testing from the area on a daily basis and will notify members when test results show E. coli levels below the state threshold.

Members should avoid swimming, windsurfing, and stand-up paddle-boarding as well as any other activities that may pose a risk of ingesting water in this cove area. People and pets should avoid areas where RSA has applied lime to mitigate contamination for at least 24 hours.
