Out of an abundance of caution, LOWA is closing Spillway Road between Eastover and Westover Parkway at Keatons Dam until further notice.
Bank damage identified after the recent storm has continued to erode at the spillway exit and has begun to undermine the road (Spillway Road).
There are no concerns about the Dam or Dam Spillway itself.
Drivers coming from Westover Parkway can turn around at the RSA Pump Station at the emergency exit. Drivers coming from Eastover can turn around at Keatons Run Playground.
Please use alternate routes, this will be an indefinite closure until the culverts are replaced, and road repair is completed.
