Lake of the Woods TOWN HALL on Understanding Our Water: From Tap to Stormwater Drain.
LOW External Affairs Committee will host a Town Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 PM, in the Community Center at 110 Sweetbriar Park Road.
Featured speakers include Dwayne Roadcap, State Director of the Office of Drinking Water, Jeremy Hull, Engineering Field Director of the VDH Culpeper Field Office, and Richard Jacobs, the Urban Program Manager at the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District,.
After their presentations, they will take questions about our drinking water and storm water management.
Richard Jacobs, the Urban Program Manager at the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District, will speak about the challenges of stormwater control in a built out community and opportunities that are out there.
The June and July storms brought flooding problems to many LOW residents, especially those near the back gate and adjacent Flat Run Road. Mr. Jacobs has worked with LOWA in the past and after those flooding events, and he will make a presentation and respond to questions.
