Celebrate What Makes LOW Extraordinary — Nominate a Neighbor for a 2026 Honor Award!
The 2026 LOWA Honor Awards Program is officially open for nominations, and the Honor Awards Committee invites residents to help spotlight those who make a real difference. Whether it’s a single act of kindness or years of service, every contribution helps strengthen the place we call home.

🗓️ Nomination Window: May 15 – July 10

Take a moment to celebrate someone who deserves to be recognized — your nomination could be the one that honors their impact.It's your opportunity to recognize a neighbor or group for their contributions to our community at the Annual Member Meeting on Sept. 1.

Nominations are being accepted May 15 - July 10.

The categories that your honoree might fall into:
  • Certificate of Appreciation: Given to an individual for services and/or accomplishments that benefit the LOW community. A general award that includes, but is not restricted to, leadership, volunteer work, neighborhood community organization, etc.
  • Outstanding Service Award: Recognizes accomplishments and/or performance beyond what is ordinarily expected in a voluntary capacity and that have a significant beneficial contribution to the general welfare and quality of life in the LOW community.
  • Distinguished Service Award: Recognizes accomplishments of highest significance for LOW and that have exceptional benefit for the general health, welfare, quality of life, and/or the fulfillment of a major need within the LOW community.
  • Outstanding Youth Award: Awarded to a youth (18 and under) for volunteer accomplishments significantly above the norm of expectation, showing leadership abilities and initiative, high level of responsibility, and courtesy.
  • Heroic Act Award: Given for especially heroic and courageous actions that protect life and/or property at LOW in an emergency situation or under extreme hazardous circumstances, requiring courage and possible personal risk.
  • Community Service Organization Group Award: Recognizes a Lake of the Woods organization or club that has provided great service and impact to LOW and surrounding community.
  • Warren J. Lodge Award for Excellence: Special award to an individual who has given distinguished service as a representative of LOW within Orange County. Contact the Honor Awards Committee Chair for more information.

Completed nominations can be submitted by mailing or delivering to Carolyn Rourke at 915 Eastover Parkway or emailing to [email protected].

Award Winners will be notified Aug. 1, and invited to attend a reception and ceremony at the Annual Member Meeting on Monday, Sept. 1.
