Hi everyone! I’m Bernie Guthrie, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Lake of the Woods Association as your new General Manager in just a few weeks!
I can already picture our beautiful community filled with fall colors, and I can’t wait to experience it all with you. I come with over twenty years of leadership experience in community association management, with a focus on the unique needs of larger communities for most of that time. My journey has always been about building strong, collaborative communities and teams, encouraging open communication, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. I’m really excited to become part of such a lively and engaged community like LOWA!
In my first few months here, I plan to spend time listening, learning, and getting to know our operations and the wonderful strengths of this community. I’m here to support the Board and our site team so we can keep providing top-notch service to our residents while seeking out ways to grow and improve together.
When I’m not working, I love being outdoors! I enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, Pilates, yoga, and just about any activity that gets me moving outside. I can already tell that Lake of the Woods is an amazing place to live and work, and I feel so fortunate to be part of it all.
