Lake of the Woods Association, Inc. (LOWA), a large-scale community association of 4,260
private home lots and over 9,000 residents in Locust Grove, Virginia, is soliciting proposals
from qualified and experienced CPA firms to provide financial statement and internal controls
audits and tax compliance services for LOWA for Fiscal Years Ending April 30, 2025, 2026 and
2027.
Prospective firms must submit their electronic proposals no later than 2 p.m. local time on
March 7, 2025, to Mr. Charles Maneval, Director of Finance, 102 Lakeview Parkway, Locust
Grove, Virginia 22508 and
[email protected]. It is important that proposals submitted by
e-mail only be sent to Mr. Maneval for internal distribution at LOWA.
Requirements and Timeline
The successful firm will present a written proposal(s) that is responsive to this RFP. Selection
will be based on best value for LOWA, a combination of price, value, and relevant experience.
As with any Request for Proposal (RFP) of this type, the LOWA Board of Directors is the
decision-maker in contracting for services. Once all proposals are received and reviewed, the
Board may request a limited number of respondents to interview directly with a selection
committee in the time frame of Monday, March 10, 2025, to Friday, March 14, 2025.
By submitting its proposal, the successful firm acknowledges that this RFP and its proposal(s)
may become part of any contract(s) entered into between LOWA and the firm.
