UPDATE March 19, 2025

3/19/2025

Progress Update Friday, March 19, 2025:

  • The contractor, Steady Construction, has identified a utility conflict, a 12” water main, at the location of a manhole structure in the pipeline plan on Yorktown Blvd. crossover area. The conflict will be resolved by RSA. RSA is required to bid out the project and work is estimated to be completed in 2-3 weeks. These conflicts will need to be resolved before the drainage pipeline work on Yorktown Blvd. can be completed.
The Yorktown Blvd road closure from Patrick Henry Court to Fairfax Lane will remain in effect until further notice.
  • Patrick Henry Court pipeline work is scheduled to begin the week of 3/24. The first step of that work will include the drainage pipeline that crosses Patrick Henry Court.
The intersection of Patrick Henry Court and Yorktown Blvd will be closed temporarily for 1-2 days during the week of 3/24 for the pipeline work.
  • The contractor will have metal plates to bridge the work zone gap in the roadway for traffic flow on Patrick Henry Court during the construction timeline.
  • Patrick Henry Court residents have been directly notified by the LOWA Project Manager to address any concerns or questions from the residents affected by this temporary road closure.
  • Hollyfield Park water detention basin work will be completed the week of 3/24.
  • Hollyfield Park playground is closed and will remain closed until the project is completed.
  • The pickleball and tennis courts remain open.

Yorktown Blvd. will be closed to thru traffic from the intersection of Patrick Henry Court and Fairfax Lane until further notice.
