Progress Update April 15, 2025:
- RSA has identified a contractor to complete the water main utility conflict. Work is estimated to begin in 2 weeks. The utility work is estimated to be completed in one day.
- Yorktown Boulevard (from Patrick Henry Court to Fairfax Lane) will remain closed until further notice.
- The contractor (Steady Construction) mitigated water runoff in the project zones from wet weather during the week of 4/10-4/14 which delayed pipeline construction for the project.
- Patrick Henry Court/Yorktown Blvd. intersection closure has been delayed. Work is expected to begin on the pipeline crossing at Patrick Henry Court in 5-7 days. The LOWA project manager will notify Patrick Henry Court residents directly when the work is ready to begin. The Contractor will use a metal plate over the pipeline construction area in the road to allow local traffic to access Patrick Henry Court during the construction.
- Steady Construction crews are working on the drainage pipeline on Patrick Henry Court moving toward the pipeline connection at Hollyfield Park. Progress has been delayed due to bed rock encounters.
- Construction of the pipeline along the roadside of Yorktown Boulevard has reached the intersection of Patrick Henry Court and Yorktown Blvd.
- Two manhole structures are being installed on either sides of Patrick Henry Court/Yorktown Blvd intersection this week, 4/15-4/18.
The pickleball and tennis courts and the ball field are open.
Hollyfield Park playground is closed and will remain closed until the project is completed.
ROAD CLOSURE REMINDER:
Yorktown Blvd. is closed to thru traffic
from the intersection of
Patrick Henry Court and Fairfax Lane
until further notice.
Only local traffic will be allowed to access this section of
Yorktown Blvd.
