Week In Review For 2-18-2019

This week started off a little wet from a few early morning showers that quickly past by starting time on site.
B.G. Crane continued placement of the metal roof decking, and placement of structural support angels along the CMU interior bearing walls. They completed everything on the Fitness Center Building on Tuesday, so we had the third party inspection agency DEA on site to inspect all welds, and fastening of the metal roof decking, and structural support angels. Everything passed without any deficiencies. B.G. Crane continued placement of metal roof decking and support angels on the Pool House Building. With the snow and ice received on Wednesday the crew was not on site, but returned Thursday where the morning started off with removal of snow from the roof structure so placement of decking could resume. By Friday all metal roof decking had been placed. Part of the crew continued placement of support angels and clips on the interior CMU bearing wall locations. This task will be completed by the Tuesday of next week. We will then have the final steel inspection.
Ramsey Masonry continued placement of the Pool House exterior CMU NE wall (pool side) as well as the interior walls of the Pool House Restroom, and separation walls of the Life Guard Office and Snack Bar Storage located in the Fitness Center Building. They as well were out Wednesday due to the weather. All masonry walls will be completed by Tuesday of next week.
Tommy Wallace Electrical and Unlimited Plumbing continued their site visits checking in on the masons progress, and installing conduit and plumbing pipe where it was needed as the walls were placed.
Creative Conservation began the week Tuesday with the placement of the Fitness Centers exterior wall waterproof air barrier. In order for this material to be placed the CMU Block needs to be dry, which has been somewhat of a challenge with all the moisture we’ve been having. Propane heaters and torches are being used daily to help dry out the block so the crew can keep moving forward. Thursday was spent just doing this as everything was too wet from Wednesday’s weather for the material to be placed. Friday the crew resumed the placement of the air barrier product. If all goes well and the walls stay dry, Creative should be complete by next Tuesday afternoon.
Not a lot of changes took place this week on the interior of the building so this is why we have photos of the exterior only. Interior building photos will be included in next weeks review as all CMU walls will be up and completed. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
