Project Update September 7, 2018

9/7/2018

Completed
  • This week the site contractor continued, and completed the infill of the existing pool. Compaction tests were performed after each lift, and passed without any issues. Remaining trees per contract document were taken down, and hauled off. Three of the trees due to location had to be cut down instead of being pushed,  and still need to have their stumps ground down. Location of these trees were, two located close to the exit road of the Club House, and one located near the flood wall. Removal went as planned without any issues. The removal of the stumps will take place next week. Site grading began starting in the new pool location in preparation of getting Olympia here on the 17 th of September to start their work. The site contractor continued hauling off all remaining demo debris from the existing Basketball Court. This consisted of asphalt, and concrete.
Click here for information on the trees that will be replanted as construction proceeds.
Scheduled for the week of 9/10 - 9/14
  • Grading of the new pool will be completed with the stake out being done on Wednesday. The site contractor will then move into the new building location, and begin getting the pad ready for the concrete contractor.
  • The grinding down of the three tree stumps will take place.
  • The sounds, and noise that will be associated with these activities will be the continuing sound of the equipment back up alarms while moving around on site, as well as the running of the equipment engine. You will also be hearing the sounds from the dump trucks bringing in, and dumping fill materials. Mainly the tailgates of these trucks banging against the bodies of the truck as the bed is being lowered.
  • The sounds from the stumps being ground will consist of sounds much as you hear from a chain saw only with deeper tones.
  • Traffic in this area of the Construction Entrance will continue to be somewhat heavy at times during the week, but care will continue to be made in regards to not impacting the day to day activities of the Lake Of The Woods Residents.
