Project Update September 28, 2018
Reported by Wack General Contracting

Week in review 9/24
  • We had yet another week of Mother Nature not wanting to play nice. Due to rain everyday the site conditions were too wet to continue with the grading operations. It looked like on Wednesday we were going to have a break from all the rain, and give the site some drying time, but that wasn’t the case since rain moved back into the area on Thursday.
  • Our plan is to be on site this weekend since the weather forecast looks to be good, and scarify the site again in order to have it dry. This task will take place both Saturday, and Sunday.
  • On a positive note though, we did have Olympia Pools mobilize some of their equipment on Thursday in preparation of beginning the excavation of the new pool towards the middle of next week. We also had a shipment of rebar arrive on Thursday. This material will be used by the concrete contractor, Biringer Construction to construct the new building piers that will support the building’s steel frame. Fingers crossed that next week is a dry one.

Week in Preview for 10/1/18

  • This week the site contractor will complete the grading of the new building pad. After building pad has been graded, and turned over to the concrete contractor, they will then focus on getting the new parking lot on grade.
  • Olympia Pools will be on site Wednesday or Thursday to get started with the excavation of the new pool.
  • Noise, and activity in the area will be much has it has been the past month. You will be hearing the sounds from the site equipment being used continuing the grading tasks.
  • Traffic in the area will be somewhat light since the material being used for the grading will be what Olympia is excavating at the new pool site. As stated in a earlier review, we had a Proctor done on the soils in that area, and it was tested ok to be used for compacted fill.
