Project Update, September 21, 2018

9/21/2018

Completed

  • This week got off to a slow start with rain from the remnants of Florence lingering around both Monday, and Tuesday. Wednesday, finally gave us a break from well over a weeks worth of wet weather, and allowed the site contractor to start back on the site grading. They spent much of the day Wednesday, and part of Thursday scarifying the ground in the new pool, and building locations. This process of turning the soil over, and over every couple of hours allows both the air, and sun to dry the soil out. Getting the sub grade ready for Olympia Pool was priority this week.
  • The site contractor also worked on getting the relocated Construction Entrance placed in between scarifying the site. We will be having the E&S Inspector inspect the entrance on Monday. I will say that for a short week it was at least for the most part somewhat productive.

Week in Preview for week of 9/24

  • This week the site contractor will continue grading of the new building pad. They will be utilizing the material Olympia Pools is removing for the placement of the new pool. A proctor was performed on the existing material earlier during job start up, and was deemed to be acceptable for use in bringing the grades of the new building, and parking lot up to spec elevations. As stated earlier Olympia Pools will be on site starting the construction of the new pool.
  • The sounds that can be expected this week will continue to be those heard for the past month or so regarding equipment back up alarms, and equipment engines.
  • The traffic in the area may be a little heavy at times earlier in the week due to Olympia’s starting this week as there will be extra personnel on site, and with the mobilization of their equipment, and materials.
