Week in Review for 10-15-18

This Week Olympia Pools finished the forming of the pools exterior walls, and started the excavation of the new pool. This was their primary activity this week which provided the needed material for the grading of the remaining building pad, and parking lot. Excavation of the pool is a little over 3/4’s completed, and should finish up the beginning of next week.
With the much needed fill materials on hand now from the excavation of the pool this allowed the site contractor to continue the grading process on Thursday. A proof roll was done on Thursday before grading continued to insure that compaction of the sub grade was per specifications. The results of the proof roll were positive only having a few areas needing to have about 4 inch’s of wet material removed before the additional material could be added. This was taken care of immediately, and the grading of the building pad continued.

Week in Preview for 10-22-18

This week Olympia Pools will complete the excavation of the pool. They will begin the placement of the pool floor structural rebar. Once in place this will allow the electricians to  mobilize, and begin the bonding process of the pool structure.
Site grading will continue, and should be completed by the end of the week. The stake out of the building will be done allowing the concrete contractor to mobilize, and begin excavation for the footings, and building piers that will support the buildings steel structure.
In the parking lot area, the asphalt contractor will mobilize and begin placement of the stone sub grade, getting it ready for the placement of the asphalt base. The placement of the asphalt topping will be done in the spring.
