Week in Review for 10-8-18

This week the weather was a little more cooperative which allowed us to get the new pool site graded, and ready for Olympia Pools start on Tuesday. The grading of the pool pad was completed early Monday afternoon which then allowed the survey crew to mobilize that afternoon, and stake out the new pool. On Tuesday Olympia Pools mobilized on site, and began forming the walls of the pool. This task continued through the rest of week with the exception of having to take a short break on Thursday to allow Tropical Storm Michael to pass. The forming process continued on Friday, and will do so through the early part of next week. Site grading of the building pad was completed on Tuesday going as far as it could for the time being until pool excavation begins next week. As stated in previous reviews, the material being removed from the pool area will be used for the grading of the new parking lot,  as well as the remaining area of the building pad not yet completed. All areas where grading has been completed were tested by DEA for compaction, and then proof rolled. All areas have passed thus far with no issues. All in all this turned out to be a somewhat productive week.

Week in Preview for 10-15-18

This week will see the continuation of the pool wall forming through Tuesday. Excavation of the pool will begin on Wednesday, and carry out though the remainder of the week. By Tuesday the remainder of the Construction Safety Fence will be installed in the existing parking area located by the Clubhouse in preparation of the removal of the asphalt in that area. Access for the LOWA to the Clubhouse will be maintained.  The remaining building pad will be completed using the excavated material from the pool on Wednesday, followed by the completion of the new parking lot grading on Friday. All soils testing for both areas will be completed by Friday.
Noise from project activities will continue to be those of the site equipment (back up alarms, occasional banging, and of course the running of the equipment motors).
Traffic in the area will continue to be light with no interference or impact to the Lake of the Woods Association.
