Project Update, November 26, 2018

11/30/2018

Week in Review for 11-26-18

This week Ramsey Masonry continued with the placement of remaining footing CMU for the Pump, and Storage facility, followed by the grouting of the CMU. With this task completed Ramsey’s crew began and completed all clean up, and have demobilized in order to allow the next phase of the project to begin. They will return in about 3 weeks to complete the CMU placement once the facilities skeletal structure is in place.
STANLEY Brothers (Site Contractor) was back on site this week taking care of getting the remaining area of the parking lot closest to the building prepped  for the placement of the concrete curb, stone, and base asphalt next week. The area was inspected by the third party agency (DEA) for compaction, and passed. We also had DEA witness a final proof roll on the new parking lot to insure that we didn’t have any issues with the sub grade before turning it over to the paving crew next week. With all the rain we had had since the parking lot had been graded, we just wanted to be sure that we didn’t have any issues with the sub grade. The proof roll passed with out any issues. While on site this week they also took care of some additional maintenance need on the construction entrance, and access road to the new parking lot area. Additional stone was needed in preparation of Rustin Paving starting next week with the placement of stone, and base asphalt as this will be their access to the site.
Olympia Pools completed the placement of all #57 stone on the pool floor. Stone was tamped, and is ready for the placement of structural rebar that will begin next week.

Week in Preview for 12-3-18

This weeks activities will consist of the following,

R.J.Biringer Construction will place the curb needed by the asphalt contractor for grading purposes on Monday.
Rustin Paving will mobilize on Tuesday, and begin placement of stone (21a). This task will take two days to complete followed by the placement of base asphalt on Thursday.
Olympia Pools will begin the placement of pool floor structural rebar on Monday. This task will take about two days roughly to complete.
On Wednesday/Thursday all pool floor rebar will be bonded (grounded) by the electricians. Inspections will be done by Orange County in preparation of concrete placement.
Unlimited Plumbing will begin the rough in of all under slab plumbing in the Fitness Building. Inspections by Orange County to follow.

Noises and sounds to be expected will be much of the same. Equipment running, and back up alarms.
Traffic in the area will be extremely heavy on Tuesday, and Wednesday with stone being delivered for the parking lot. Around 30 dump trucks are expected as 600 tons of stone are needed to complete the grading before placement of asphalt. On Thursday around 5 dump trucks are expected to be used when placement of base asphalt is being done.

In closing, it won’t be much longer before the Lake Of The Woods residents will start seeing the structure of their new facility standing. I know it’s what everyone has been waiting to see. Including myself. Can’t wait! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
