Week In Review For 12-31-18
Happy New Year, and hope everyone had a great start to 2019.
This week was again a short week with New Years Day being on Tuesday. We had some what of a skeleton crew on site Monday. The day was spent pumping water from the building footings from the rain on Friday, as well as on Monday. On Wednesday everyone was back at work. R.J. Biringer began placement of all exterior wall insulation, and stone around mid morning, finishing up late that afternoon. Unlimited Plumbing, and Tommy Wallace Electrical were on site while stone placement was being done in order to be sure that their floor boxes maintained proper elevation, and placement. Kelvic Construction mobilized, and began removal/relocation of all existing spoils that had been generated from the plumbing, and electrical under slab placement. Olympia Pools continued clean up, and removal of all concrete blankets from the Shotcrete placement before Christmas. They began preparation of pressure testing of existing plumbing before continuing the install of remaining pipe into the Pump Room.

On Thursday Kelvic Construction was back on site continuing the removal/relocation of remaining spoils. All useable material was stockpiled on site for future use with grading of the site, and all unusable material was hauled off. Ramsey Masonry had a small crew on hand to remove all of their material from around the building so Kelvic could begin backfilling of the exterior building footings on Friday. Ramsey Masonry will resume work next week after backfilling is complete. Olympia Pools has placed air pressure on all drain/skimmer piping. No issues were found.

On Friday Kelvic Construction began backfilling of the exterior wall footings, and finished up with remaining rough site grading. R.J. Biringer began slab prep with the placement of under slab vapor barrier, column block outs, and wire mesh. Slab prep will be completed on Monday, followed by the placement of Slab On Grade Monday, or Tuesday. Olympia Pools began the routing of remaining pool plumbing in the direction of the new Pump Room. They will complete the placement next week, and do another pressure test at that time to insure there aren’t any issues.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Week In Preview For 1-7-19

This weeks activities will consist of the following,
Monday R.J. Biringer will complete Slab On Grade prep. If it isn’t to late in the day Concrete placement will be done. Back up plan is to have concrete placement on Tuesday if Monday doesn’t work. Kelvic Construction will resume backfilling of exterior building footings. If backfilling isn’t complete on Monday they will finish up on Tuesday. Olympia Pools will continue, and complete the placement/testing of all remaining pool plumbing.
Ramsey Masonry will resume work adding additional manpower. Scaffolding for access will be erected around the exterior of the building, and within two weeks all exterior bearing wall CMU will have been placed.
Liphart Steel will deliver the remaining steel structure material on Wednesday. This will consist of all roof bar joists, and roof decking panels. Material will be staged in the new facilities parking lot until it’s placement starting on the 1-21-19.
Sounds to be expected this week will continue to be much of the same. Equipment backup alarms, and that of running equipment.
Traffic to be expected this week will a little heavy on either Monday or Tuesday while concrete slabs are being placed.
On Wednesday there will be three or four tractor trailers arriving with the delivery of remaining building steel.
On Thursday or Friday we will have a large delivery of masonry material arriving around mid morning.
