Week In Review For 02/04/2019

What a great week this week for February. The weather and temperatures were a welcoming change from the previous weeks of cold and wind.
As I’m sure everyone noticed we had the steel erectors move back in on Monday. After the crane had been staged on site in the upper parking lot, the crew of B.G. Crane completed the placement of remaining skeletal steel. On Tuesday they began the placement of Bar Joists. This task continued into Thursday mid afternoon. Once all roof joists had been set and welded in place, the focus then turned to the placement and welding of the structural Bridging.(Bridging does a couple of things, first it aids with suppling lateral support for the bottom flange of the Bar Joist, and second it helps to distribute the point loads through out the roof system). On Friday while part of the crew continued placement of Bar Joist bridging, the remainder of the crew fell back and started the placement of roof decking. Around mid morning we saw the departure of the erectors crane as it’s duties had come to an end on this project. The facilities roof structure install will be completed by next Friday,
On site this week as well were the crews of Ramsey Masonry. They continued the placement of all CMU walls on the Fitness Center Building, and on the Pool House Building. Placement of all CMU will be complete next Friday.
Several visits from both the plumber, and electricians were made this week making sure all piping, and conduits were placed where they were needed within the walls.
Lastly we had a visit from the mechanical contractor I.C.E on Thursday to familiarize themselves with the project as they will be getting started with the placement of all duct work once the roof has been dried in. While on site they laid out where supply air louvers will need to be placed in the exterior CMU walls.
We wrapped up the weekend with the masons continued placement of interior CMU walls.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Week In Preview For 02/11/2019

This weeks activities will consist of the following,
B.G. Crane will continue placement of the roof structure. Placement will be completed on Friday. Inspection of the roof structure by DEA will be done on Friday as well while B.G. Crane is present just in case any issues need resolving.
Ramsey Masonry will continue the placement of remaining interior CMU walls. All walls will be completed by Friday if not earlier in the week. Preparations for the arrival, and placement of the brick veneer will follow.
Unlimited Plumbing, and Tommy Wallace Electrical will continue their visits to ensure all piping and conduit are installed where needed within the CMU walls.
We will have a new contractor starting this week. Creative Conservation will begin applying the waterproof air barrier to all exterior CMU walls. Creative is expected to be complete with the application by Friday.
Sounds to be expected will be much of the same with equipment backup alarms being heard as they move about the site.
Traffic to be expected this week will be light with occasional deliveries being made by contractors vendors.
