Week In Review For 12/17/18

We had another very productive week following the erection of the new Fitness Center, and Pump/Storage Building last week.
Olympia Pools started off the week on Monday with the placement of 53 yards of Shotcrete,  shooting the walls of the Lap Pool, and ADA Ramp. Additional prep was done on Tuesday to the remaining areas of the pool (Beach Entry, steps, remaining walls), and 60 yards of Shotcrete was placed on Wednesday. Olympia Pools finished out the week taking care of stripping forms, and cleanup. All concrete placement for the construction of the pool structure is now complete. Olympia Pools will take next week off, and return January 2 to begin the routing of all pool plumbing to the Pump House.
The building site had its own share of busy activities this week with the placement of all under slab Plumbing, and Electrical /LV being done.
Unlimited Plumbing completed the rough in of all remaining plumbing, sanitary lines, and floor drains in the Pump/Storage Building. The county inspection was done Thursday, and passed without any issues.
Tommy Wallace Electrical mobilized on site Monday, and began the rough in of all conduit needed for both electrical, and low voltage. The county inspection was done Thursday, and it too passed without any issues.
Va. All State Pest Controls were on site late Wednesday afternoon taking care of all footing, and soils treatment.

We made a hard push this week with trying to get the SOG placed by Friday, but unfortunately Mother Nature had her own set of ideas. Due to rain moving in Thursday afternoon, and forecasted to continue into Friday morning, it was decided to have the placement called off. This pour will require a lot of time needed for placement, finishing, and is to have a flatness test performed on it per the building specs. With all that being said, it wasn’t a chance that anyone understandably wanted to take. The placement of the concrete will take place after the first of the year. This is when R. J. Biringer will be back off Christmas break. Work will continue next week after Christmas Day, with the full height CMU walls being placed.
We hope everyone here at The Lake Of The Woods community has a safe, an very Merry Christmas.

Week In Preview For 12/24/18

We will return to work on Wednesday the 26th. Activities for this week will primarily consist of Ramsey Masonry running the full height CMU walls of the Fitness Center Building.
Traffic to be expected will be very light.

Sounds to be expected will continue to be much of the same with equipment backup alarms moving through out the site.
