Clubhouse Area Recreation Complex
Project Update December 14, 2018
Reported by Wack General Contracting
12-10-18 Week In Review
This week was one of much excitement, and activity. With Mother Nature blanketing us with a layer of the fluffy stuff over the weekend it delayed the arrival of the new facilities steel by a few days. Finally on Wednesday the roads were clear, and safe for travel, the steel was delivered. Once the material was off loaded, and staged in the new parking lot, the erectors began setting the columns of the Fitness Center.
Placement of the steel continued into Thursday, and was completed on Friday. This completed the first phase of steel erection for B.G. Crane. They will demobilize on Monday, but will return in a few weeks to complete the erection of the new facility after the slab and all CMU walls have been placed.
Unlimited Plumbing continued with the new under slab plumbing pipe install of the Pump/Storage Building while steel was being set on the Fitness Center. Unlimited took a small break while steel was being set at the Pump/Storage Building on Friday for safety reasons. Completion, along with the inspection of the plumbing for the Pump/Storage Building will take place next Tuesday. The inspection of all placed under slab plumbing for the Fitness Building was done on Wednesday, and passed without any issues.
Olympia Pools continued the pool floor prep on Tuesday, and placement of 120 yards of concrete was made on Wednesday. On Thursday they then focused on getting the remaining pool areas (ADA Ramp, Beach Entry, Stairs, and Walls) ready for next weeks Shotcrete placement. The Shotcrete placement will take two days to complete, one on Monday, and the other on Wednesday.
Closing out the week, it sure was good to see the skeleton of the new facility standing.
Week In Preview For 12-17-18
This weeks activities will consist of completion of the remaining under slab plumbing, and inspection.
On Monday Tommy Wallace Electrical will begin the under slab placement of all electrical conduit. They will complete the install, and have their inspections on Wednesday.
Ramsey Masonry will return on Monday to complete the placement of all remaining CMU to SOG elevation. The grouting of remaining CMU will take place on Wednesday.
R.J. Biringer will be on site Thursday to place all stone, vapor barrier, ridged insulation around the exterior walls, and wire mesh in preparation of the placement of the SOG on Friday. If more time is needed for Thursday’s activities, then placement of concrete will be moved to Saturday.
Olympia will complete the placement of all pool concrete on Monday, and Wednesday. They will then focus on clean up for the remainder of the week.
Noises, and sounds to be expected will be the continued equipment backup alarms, and running equipment.
Traffic to be expected will be heavy at times on the following days,
Monday- Concrete Trucks for the placement of pool Shotcrete. Starting at 07:00
Tuesday- Dump trucks delivering stone for the SOG placement on Friday. Starting at 08:00.
Wednesday- Concrete Trucks For remaining pool Shotcrete placement. Starting at 07:00.
Friday- Concrete Trucks For the placement of the facilities SOG. Starting at 07:00.
