Project Update April 5, 2019
Reported by Wack General Contracting
Week In Review For The Week Of 04/01/2019
This week with the weather still in our favor the site was once again very busy with numerous activities going on. Those activities consisted of the following,
- Kelvic Construction with the aid of Stanley Brothers began placement of the storm piping that will be tied into the facilities roof drains. This system will carry the rain water runoff to two of the sites Bio Filtration Ponds. This task consumed the week, and will be completed Tuesday of next week.
- Tommy Wallace Electrical continued with the above ceiling electrical/data rough in. Recessed Can Light Fixtures have been placed in the ceilings of the Men’s, and Women’s Restrooms located in the Pool House Building. Framed openings that will receive
2x2 lay in light fixtures were completed and inspected by Orange Counties Electrical Inspector on Thursday. Everything passed without deficiencies. Contractor continued working on the placement of the facilities electrical panels. Now that Rappahannock Electric has power to the building TWE began getting the panels ready for placement of temporary power so we can get off the generator.
- R. J. Biringer mobilized on Wednesday, and began prepping, and grading the Breezeway for placement of the concrete slab. Stone has been placed. Wire and concrete will be placed on Monday.
- Miller Interiors continued framing of exterior Bulkheads, and drywall ceilings. On the interior of the Fitness Center they continued placement of wood blocking for the placement of restroom accessories. On Wednesday a delivery of drywall showed up and it’s placement will begin this weekend. On Thursday the Exterior Wall Insulation Inspection was done, and passed without any deficiencies.
- Unlimited Plumbing continued with the wall plumbing rough in of the Fitness Center Restrooms. Their Wall Rough In Inspection was also done on Thursday, and passed without any deficiencies. Pipe Insulation showed up on Friday, and was placed making walls ready to accept drywall this weekend. (No photo’s shown)
- Wilsey Roofing continued placement of siding, and trim. Dry in of the Cupola was completed on Thursday with the applying of Ice and Water Shield over its roof, and Four Feet up the side walls tying it into the roof of the main building.
- ICE was on site earlier in the week running Refrigerant Lines for the Fitness Centers new HVAC System. Everything is ready for the placement of the new units which will be set towards the end of next week. (No photo’s shown)
- Last, but certainly not least Rappahannock Electric finished up some last minute wiring in the facilities new transformer, set the new meter, and the facility now has its own power.
This concludes the brief overview of activities that took place this week. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
