UPDATE December 13, 2024
12/13/2024
Progress Update: Patrick Henry Court Drainage Improvement Project:
Tree removal/lot clearing at the Yorktown LOWA Lots (707 & 709 Yorktown Blvd) through the week of 12/16-12/20.
Tree removal will begin along Patrick Henry Court and Yorktown Blvd road easements the week of 12/16.
The drainage line trench has been dug from the Flat Run Road area of Hollyfield past the area of Hollyfield ballpark.
The contractor has encountered issues setting manhole structures due to rock in the Hollyfield Park drainage line area.
The drainage connection between Hollyfield Park and Patrick Henry Court has been cleared and is prepared for drainage line trenching.
The detention water basin in Hollyfield Park is excavated currently at 18 inches off finished grade.
Rock has been encountered in multiple locations of the project areas in excess of what had been originally estimated for the project. The engineering firm (AMT) is working on plans to remediate those obstacles in the project plan.
The Contractor has collected data on test pits through GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) and has coordinated utility for the drainage pipeline. The test pits will remain unfilled until the new drainage is installed.
The parking area near the baseball field at the back of Hollyfield Park has been closed to members until further notice.
Hollyfield Park playground is closed and will remain closed until the project is completed.
Pickleball courts and Tennis courts remain open.
