KEATON'S LAKE: SWIMMING ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED

10/01/19- Keaton's Lake Update

Keaton's Lake was treated for harmful cyanobacteria (the harmful form of Blue-Green Algae) on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Upon completion of the treatment, LOWA conducted follow up testing and received the results on October 1, 2019. Test results show that the levels of harmful cyanobacteria are well below the state recommended threshold. As such, the swimming advisory has been lifted, and members may resume their water activities.

Per our contract with the vendor, a second algaecide treatment will be applied to the lake this week to help prevent future occurrences.
