Equestrian Operations Assistant Manager

LOWA is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried position. The successful candidate will assist the manager in overseeing the operations of the Equestrian Center including maintaining current programs and developing new programs that promote a safe, educational and recreational riding experience for adults and children at Lake of the Woods. The Equestrian Operations Assistant Manager will aid the Equestrian Center Manager in overseeing and participating in the following:

 

  • feeding, grooming, veterinary care, cleaning, horse turn in/out, tack cleaning
  • ​scheduling blacksmith, veterinarian, equine dentist and other professional services
  • maintaining safe, neat and orderly appearance of stable area
  • exercising and training of school horses
  • conducting trail rides, pony rides and pony parties and special events
  • preparing for shows
  • instructing theory class for summer and holiday camps
  • teaching students of all levels
  • promoting amenity on social media
  • interacting with members and boarders on a regular basis to maintain cordial community relationships 

Education/Skills required include a minimum of 5 years teaching experience, demonstrating strong horsemanship skills, professional rider a plus. Excellent customer service skills required. Some computer proficiency preferred.
