SWIMMING POOLS COMMITTEE CHARTER

I. MISSION:

The overall mission of Lake of the Woods Committees is to add value to the Association
by advising and assisting the Board of Directors in carrying out their responsibilities of the Association. The swimming Pool reports to the Board of Directors and the primary focus of their Mission  is to promote the safe and
Healthy environment of the swimming pools.

II.  COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Make recommendations for swimming pool operations and promote safety awareness programs.  The committee shall also review and report to the Board on the maintenance of the pools and fitness center and all facilities within the perimeters of the pools.

B. Submit to the Board and GM for resolution, all special problems which arise in the operation of the swimming pools or in the scheduling of their activities.

C. The committee shall review all pool procedures on an annual basis.  The committee shall coordinate recommended changes of the rules and regulations, which govern the use of swimming pool facilities and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.

D. Coordinate swim team use of the pools with other pool usage

E. The committee shall annually submit recommendations for swimming pools new capital and replacement capital expenditures as well as fees
to be charged members and their guests.

F. Be responsible for such tasks as may be assigned by the Board of Directors

III. SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SWIMMING POOL COMMITTEE:

A. The committee shall follow the guidance of the BYLAWS, Specifically Article V: Organization, Section D: Committees; however, in order to perform its mission the Committee shall operate under the added guidelines listed below.

B. Oral Reporting- The Swimming Pools Committee Chairperson, or representative, will provide an oral report of swimming pools activities to the membership at a monthly Board of Directors meeting annually. 

C. THIS CHARTER IS EFFECTIVE UPON APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. IT SHALL BE REVIEWED FOR RE-ADOPTION AT LEAST EVERY FIVE (5) YEARS FROM THE DATE OF THE MOST RECENT REVISION.
