The Lake of the Woods Community Center is a building where the community can come together.

The Community Center is located at Sweetbriar Park.
Most LOWA Board of Directors meetings are held here, as well as providing additional meeting space for LOWA committees, clubs, and organizations. It also offers additional space for recreation and enables the expansion of community program activities while serving a greater number of our members. Each year, the LOW Players stage two theater productions in the Community Center.
A variety of classes are offered at the facility as well. We currently have classes for Taekwondo, Yoga, Knitting & Crocheting, and Exercising for Health. Other activities include bridge, adult co-ed volleyball, basketball, pickle ball and more. (Check the Lake Currents newsletter under the Calendar of Events for schedule and contact information.

Lake Co-op Preschool (currently not operating)

Founded in 1978 and managed by parent volunteers, the preschool is a state-certified social and educational program. The school serves resident children age two to four, with a maximum class size of 10 for the two-year-olds and 16 for the three- and four-year-olds. There are both morning and afternoon classes for the three- and four-year-olds and a morning program for two-year-olds, with a teacher and assistant for each class. The continuance of a low cost, high quality program requires that parents contribute their time or financial support for fundraising events, which provide additional resources for creative educational programs/materials, trips, and parties that enhance the classroom experience.
